Speed shingles strips
We ordered several different shapes (diamond, rectangle, octagon) and experimented. They were easy to work with, took stain and paint well, and the results look good. The only caveat is that because they are so thin and made of wood, they will warp with staining, painting, gluing. If applying them to non-rigid surfaces, the warping can extend to the surfaces as well. Best to experiment a little with your particular set of factors before jumping into the real project.
